A leading Shropshire telecoms company has just been awarded a top business accolade.
Pure Telecom, based on Shrewsbury Business Park, is celebrating after achieving the widely-regarded Investors in People silver award.
“We are delighted with our successful accreditation, achieved at our first attempt. IIP is seen as the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to sustainability,” said Matt Sandford, managing director of Pure Telecom, which has recently marked its tenth anniversary.
Investors in People is used by companies across the world and provides a simple assessment framework which reflects leading practices in high performance working.
Matt added: “There is a clear and definite focus on staff in all areas of the business at Pure Telecom and this award demonstrates our vision and zest for excellence across the company.
“We invest in our people with an almost unlimited budget for training and a real drive from the management team to devote time in mentoring all team members – from the newest trainees right through to the longest-serving employees with more a decade of service.
“Training, both in the workplace and externally and by distance learning, is paramount. For example, our sales team have recently completed an intensive three-day programme.
“We want to give everyone here the best tools and skills for the job so that they, in turn, can provide excellent customer service at all times.”
Matt said that he was also immensely proud of his firm’s ISO 9001 accreditation. ISO 9001 is a certified quality management system for organisations who want to prove their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet the needs of their customers and other relevant stakeholders. “This has also played a big part in helping us develop best-in-class systems and processes,” he added.
